Classes will be held at Concord Youth Theatre, 358 Baker Avenue, Concord, MA unless otherwise noted.

PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER for a class marked "Regular Attendance Required" without reading this note! These classes are designed to afford interested students the exciting experience of rehearsing a piece from start to finish and performing it for a live audience. For these classes to succeed, regular attendance by all students is absolutely crucial. This promotes an understanding of individual responsibility, fosters group ensemble, and provides the necessary continuity in rehearsal. Please check your schedules carefully for conflicts before signing up for classes so indicated. Should a conflict arise, call the office immediately. Thank you.


FAIRY WINGS & HAIRY THINGS
3 - 4 years

Come toss some fairy dust with us and fly to a world where trolls stroll and unicorns prance. Using their imaginations and sense of fun, children will befriend and become these magical creatures as they act out tales on the stage. Limit 8 students.

Open up a treasure box of literary discovery as children explore and perform their favorite stories. Through movement and storytelling, children bring their most beloved characters to life on stage. Limit 8 students.

INTRO TO MUSICAL THEATRE
Grades K - 2
Carly Evans

Students will be involved in the process of creating a Mini-Musical, using stories such as fairy tales and folk tales together with songs. The class will use simple scripts or improvise dialogue and be coached in acting, singing and staging of the musical. An informal performance will conclude the session. Limit 12 students. Regular attendance required.

CREATIVE DRAMA & MUSIC
Grades 1 - 3

Explore movement, facial expression, singing and storytelling in a supportive class where having fun and making new friends are the most important goals. This class will work on staging, acting, singing and putting it all together. The class will conclude with an informal performance. Limit 12 students. Regular attendance required.

MUSICAL THEATRE REVUE
Grades 3 - 5

Discover the exciting world of musical theater. Work closely with a director as you sing, dance, and act scenes from famous musicals, rehears ensemble and solo pieces, and present a revue designed to show off your best skills. The class will conclude with a presentation for family and friends. Limit 14 Students. Regular Attendance Required.

MAINSTAGE MIRROR
Grades 4 - 6

Can’t particiate in our mainstage production company because you don’t have enough time in your week, but love the great shows? Here is a unique chance to learn and perform scenes and songs from our fall production of Willy Wonka. Emphasis is on developing successful presentation skills. Informal performance will conclude the session.
Limit 14 students.

WINTER STOCK
Grades 6 and up
Rene Pfister
Been a fan of our Summer Stock Troupe and need more? This fun and in-depth workshop is our winter version of the same and is sure to sharpen performance skills and give participants a taste of the work of a professional actor. Under the direction of Rene Pfister, students will be intensely coached in character development, singing and movement as they rehearse a full scale musical. The session will conclude with a performance of their show. Limit 20 students.
Regular Attendance Required.
November 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20 & December 3, 4, 8, 9 from 3:45 - 6PM
November 18 & December 2 from 6 - 7:30PM
December 10 & 11 from 3:45 - 7:30PM
Performance: December 12 at 7PM
