About CYT Performance Companies

Concord Youth Theatre’s performance companies provide an opportunity for young people to participate in a full scale musical production. We are a process oriented education program and focus on the company members working together as an ensemble. We are committed to providing an environment that is creative and educational for our students. Both the Mainstage and Junior Companies perform plays that are literature based and age appropriate for all.

All scheduled rehearsals for all companies are mandatory. We follow the Concord Public School vacation and holiday schedule and do not rehearse on days when school is not in session.

You must call the office at 978-371-1482 if you wish to sign up for an audition. Please leave your name, phone number, age, grade and the date that you want to audition. There is a $5 audition fee payable when you come to audition.

Looking for an outlet for your creativity and imagination? Are you at your best in front of a crowd? Then we are looking for you! Participate in a performance troupe that’s not for the faint of heart!!!  Participants will be expected to improvise lines, sing songs, tell jokes, and be outrageously silly in front of a live audience! Each week, a select cast of actors will rehearse and perform their own new and improvised version of a children’s story. Actors will gain first-hand knowledge of audience dynamics and how to “work the crowd” while guiding audience participation.  For Grades 9 thru 12. Tuition is $200. Rehearsals are held the Wednesday before each performance from 6:30 – 8:30 pm.

Limited opportunities to participate in Playtime Theater are possible if a full time cast member is unavailable to perform. If you are interested in being a substitute performer please send in a registration form stating such. The tuition for a substitute performer is $15/performance. Substitutes must attend the rehearsal scheduled on the Wednesday before performance.
